Welcome
Cooper and Jordan is a wonderful school with a great heritage. A school has existed here for over 300 years with the first dating back to 1718! Today, it is situated in a modern building which was opened in 1971 and updated in 2000. As a Church of England School, we have close links with the Aldridge Parish Churches and the Christian faith underpins the values of the school.
Our school prides itself on success and pupils gain excellent results often above national standards. The wellbeing of our children is of paramount importance and children enjoy coming to school and gain valuable life skills from a wide and varied curriculum. The school is located in a conservation area and has excellent facilities both inside and outside of the building. All classrooms have interactive white-boards linked to laptops to ensure modern teaching methods can be used. The school has two halls, a “cook on site” kitchen, learning hubs, a bistro, a library and the Ellie Simmonds indoor heated swimming pool. Outside, we have two large playgrounds and extensive playing fields, some of which are also used by members of the local community.
We have high expectations of the behaviour of our pupils and they are very aware of our “good to be green” code of conduct. Pupils throughout the school are encouraged to participate in activities and clubs and enjoy opportunities in leadership, such as worship, play pals, pupil voice and the school council.
We are always striving to improve what we do, from teaching and learning to school dinners and our plans to develop the school grounds further. We also value the support of members of the local community and see our school as a beacon of light in Aldridge. We seek to create strong, positive relationships with families to ensure that all pupils are able to progress well and enjoy their years at the school.
We are always happy to welcome visitors, so that you can see for yourself what we are achieving.
