Cooper and Jordan Church of England Voluntary Aided Endowed School

Welcome to Cooper and Jordan Church of England Primary School

Welcome to Cooper and Jordan, a vibrant, nurturing, and high-achieving primary school community where we inspire every child to fulfill their potential and truly "shine their light." As a school with deep roots and a forward-thinking approach to education, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, inspiring environment where children grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

A Rich History and Heritage

Cooper and Jordan holds a proud and unique place in local history. We have a rich heritage of educating children in our community that spans over 300 years, with our earliest origins dating all the way back to 1718!

While we are deeply proud of our historic legacy, our school seamlessly bridges the past with the modern world. Today, our school is housed in excellent facilities that were originally opened in 1971 and extensively updated in 2000. This blend of historic tradition and modern infrastructure allows us to offer a rich, innovative curriculum. From our state-of-the-art learning hubs to the Ellie Simmonds indoor heated swimming pool, we ensure our pupils have access to the very best resources to support their development.

Situated in the Heart of Aldridge

We are incredibly fortunate to be situated in the picturesque village of Aldridge in Walsall, UK. Located within a beautiful conservation area near The Green, our school benefits from a peaceful, scenic setting that enhances our children’s daily learning experience.

Our extensive outdoor space, including large playgrounds and expansive playing fields, gives our pupils plenty of room to explore nature, play, and stay active. We view Cooper and Jordan as a beacon of light within Aldridge, maintaining close, meaningful connections with our local community, neighbouring churches, and families.

Our Values: Rooted in Faith, Driven by Success

As a Church of England Voluntary Aided Endowed School, Christian teachings and spirituality provide the foundation for everything we do. Our core values guide how we treat one another, how we learn, and how we grow together as a family. We actively instil and celebrate these values in our pupils every day:

  • Compassion & Forgiveness: Teaching our children how to form genuine, lasting relationships and how to reach out to those in need both locally and globally.
  • Endurance & Fellowship: Encouraging a lifelong love of learning, giving children the resilience to face challenges with confidence, and celebrating success together.
  • Respect & Hope: Nurturing an environment where every individual is valued, and inspiring children to look to the future with optimism as they achieve their goals.

We hold high expectations for behaviour, encouraging our pupils to become compassionate, respectful, and responsible citizens.

A Note for Prospective Parents

Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. At Cooper and Jordan, we combine excellent academic standards—consistently performing above national averages—with a deep commitment to children’s mental health and well-being. Through a creative curriculum, leadership opportunities (like our School Council and Worship Leaders), and a wide array of extra-curricular clubs, we ensure that school is a place of joy, discovery, and growth.

We consider our relationship with parents to be a true partnership. We would love to welcome you to our school so you can experience our warm atmosphere, see our wonderful facilities, and meet our pupils and staff first-hand.

Please contact the school office to arrange a visit—we look forward to welcoming you to the Cooper and Jordan family.
