Nursery

We have a Morning and an Afternoon nursery session which lasts 3 hours. A small number of children are full-time (30 hours per week).The children are in 3 colour groups in each session. We have a bright well resourced spacious Nursery. 

We teach the Nursery Curriculum through the EYFS where  there are 7 areas of learning:

   3 Prime Areas

• • Personal, Social and Emotional Development;
  • Physical Development;
  • Communication and Language

 4 Specific Areas

• • Mathematics
  • Literacy
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

The curriculum is taught through a small group time and structured play with a new theme each half term. We take part in a daily disco gym routine to encourage gross motor skills to aid emergent writing. We encourage the children to be as independent as possible .We follow the Christian ethos of the school where children are encouraged with daily prayers to thank God for His world .We engage with the whole school for Christian celebrations at Aldridge Parish Church. We love playing outside and have a super area just outside our classroom, with a pirate ship and wooden climbing frame  and balancing equipment.
